CoRE supports this vision by providing five funding opportunities that collectively reinforce a broad culture of interdisciplinary exchange, collaboration, planning, and support. To-date, CoRE investments have stimulated over $27M in additional external funding for UNH research activities. Interdisciplinary UNH Team Awarded NSF Grant to Develop Smart Robots for Therapeutic Exercise Training

An exciting new interdisciplinary research project at UNH could lead to intelligent robots that guide patients through therapeutic exercise training. The project was recently awarded $750,000 by the National Science Foundation’s Division of Information and Intelligent Systems and is led by Momotaz Begum, assistant professor in the Computer Science department, along with Dain LaRoche, associate professor of Exercise Science in the department of Kinesiology and Sajay Arthanat, associate professor of Occupational Therapy.  “This NSF grant will help us to design robust robot learning...

Announcing the FY2019 CoRE Recipients

The Office of the Senior Vice Provost for Research announced the annual Collaborative Research Excellence (CoRE) awardees for FY2019. The CoRE initiative supports interdisciplinary and collaborative efforts driven by UNH researchers addressing local, regional, and world issues. Fourteen teams with members representing over 100 UNH faculty and staff from across the university, as well as 20 external partners, were awarded $425K in funding.
