Virtual event to focus on food insecurity, neighborhood food environment and implementation science

Join the National Institutes of Health for a virtual nutrition research and implementation workshop on Sept. 21-23, 2021. The goal is to review the state of the science around food insecurity and the neighborhood food environment, identify research gaps and explore innovative research strategies that could inform policies and practices. Experts in these fields will come together for a series of panel discussions that address nutrition health disparities.

Tufts Symposium

March 1st-4th: 2021 Tufts Research and Data Symposium for Food and Nutrition

Drs. Dao, Orlova, Folta, Mendéz-Lázaro, and Mattei are presenting the Mitigating Disparities in Nutrition and Public Health panel on Wednesday, March 3rd, from 12-1pm. They will discuss the role of big data in understanding and reducing racial minority health disparities.

In this fast-paced webinar, Extension program educators, advisors and directors will learn best practices to reach and engage Latinos, and the importance of creating partnerships with their local media.

  • Social media vs. traditional media

Participants will gain insight about how to take a multi-directional approach to outreach, and how to more effectively use traditional media outlets, including radio, print media, broadcast TV, and news releases.
