DIGITAL HUMANITIES ISLAND RETREAT
***PLEASE NOTE: All participants should park (for free) at the Park and Ride in Portsmouth, NH (Exit 3a off 1-95) and meet in the C&J bus terminal in Portsmouth. Island staff believes we need to run two shuttles: one departing at 12:15pm and one departing at 1:00pm from the Park and Ride, which will transport participants to the Market St. dock in time for their boat to Appledore Island.***
Attendance Form: Please complete this form and bring it with you to Appledore Island for our Island Coordinator. (The Island Coordinator will be emailing this form to participants as well.) Thanks!

The summer is the most beautiful time to be on the New Hampshire seacoast! If you teach at one of the 11 member schools of the NEHC and have expertise or just a strong interest in Digital Humanities, please come and join us for this weekend-long summer retreat and workshop!

Appledore Island has long inspired New England Arts & Humanities work as a summer retreat for artists like the well-known Impressionist painter Childe Hassam.
Given its rich history, the island offers an ideal location for a retreat on digital humanities, where we will show off the cutting-edge DH research and teaching that is happening among the 11 schools of the New England Consortium and brainstorm how to share these digital tools and make these valuable resources widely available.
