Ken recently graduated from SUNY-ESF with a BSc in Forest Health and will be starting at UNH in Fall 2019.  He will pursue a MSc focused on local scale interactions between scales insects (the invasive felted beech scale, Cryptococcus fagisuga), Neonectria fungi, and beech (Fagus grandifolia), specifically on the nature of host tolerance to scale insects emerging as a consequence of prior colonization by one or both beech bark disease agents.
