Santiago is a M.Sc student originally from Bogota, Colombia. After working as a research assistant at the University of Maine in  2018, he graduated from Javeriana University on Industrial Microbiology and started his masters at UNH in Fall 2021. Santiago is interested in understanding how variation in nutrient availability in soil and bark influence the co-ocurrance of the two fungal agents causing beech bark disease.
