Hannah is a third-year PhD student in the Department of Psychology with a focus on personality. She received her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics, Master of Science in Health Promotion, and Graduate Certificate in Health Coaching at the University of Delaware. After her Master's she was a Research Associate in a Psychiatric Genetics Lab at Yale University.

Research Projects and Interests

Hannah's second-year research project "Personal Intelligence and Health Goal Achievement" examined the relationships between personality traits, including the Big 5 and personal intelligence, and their influence on health goal achievement. In her first year, Hannah completed her first-year research project entitled "Exploring Personal Intelligence and Health". This project examined the relationship between health behaviors/ goals and personal intelligence. As a part of this study, she used her health coaching expertise to develop the Health Goals and Choices survey which measures health goals using the spirit of Motivational Interviewing.

Teaching Assistant

Hannah was be the Teaching Assistant for Tests and Measurement in Psychology and Personality Psychology in the Academic Years of 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. These courses are taught by Dr. Jack Mayer.

SONA Administrator

Hannah was the Graduate SONA Administrator in the Academic Years of 2019-2020 and 2020-2021.

Mentorship

One of Hannah's favorite extra-curricular activities from her Master's degree and her current graduate PhD experience is her role as a mentor. She passionately teaches undergraduates the idiosyncrasies of research design and implementation, further driving her own research enthusiasm. Savannah Lacasse is a Research Assistant for Hannah's study "Personal Intelligence and Goal Achievement".

Aislinn Low is a Research Assistant for Hannah's study "Personal Intelligence and Health Goal Achievement" and was a Research Assistant for Hannah's study "Exploring Personal Intelligence and Health".

Lauren Topchik was an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Personality Psychology (Spring 2020).  Miranda MacDougall was an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Tests and Measurement (Spring 2020). Jules Santangelo was a Research Assistant for Hannah's study "Exploring Personal Intelligence and Health" and was an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Personality Psychology (Fall 2020). Dana Thralls was an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Tests and Measurement (Spring 2021). James Peters was a Senior Honors Thesis Research Assistant on his project "Understanding the Personality of a Cowoerker". James had two undergraduate Research Assistants for his study: Daniel Wydola and Alex Boldewskul. James was also a Research Assistant for Hannah's study "Exploring Personal Intelligence and Health". He received the Honors Thesis Grant and the Undergraduate Research Award in the academic year 2019-2020. James was also the Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Personality Psychology and Tests and Measurement in Psychology (Fall 2019).
