Andreas Lydakis

Research

My main research interest is Human-Robot Interaction focused on assisted living for the elderly and people with disabilities. I have worked with mobile robots in the context of smart homes, and their interaction with different sensors and appliances. During my stay at UNH my research focus has been on computer and robot assisted rehabilitation and corrective devices. I am interested in exploring new technologies applied in real life conditions, and believe that gamification of HRI is important in lay-users adopting robots in their routine.

Bio

I am a graduate student at the Computer Science Department at the University of New Hampshire. Before that, I was a research assistant at the Software and Knowledge Engineering Laboratory of the National Center for Scientific Research "Democritos" in Athens, Greece. I got my diploma in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras, Greece.
