GEN 714 Personal Genomics

Analysis and implications of personal genomic data is the focus of this course. Students understand and appreciate all aspects of the availability of personal genomic information and tools including scientific, medical, social, ethical and legal issues. Students have the opportunity to analyse their own individual genome ot one of the publicly available genomes to learn about all various aspects of this emerging field. The course will be an entirely online format. Prereq: GEN 604. UNHM only.

Comprehensive, introductory course emphasizing the cellular metabolism and the structure and function of proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates, and lipids. Prereq: BIOL 411; CHEM 545 and CHEM 546, or CHEM 547 and CHEM 548, or CHEM 651 and CHEM 652. Coreq: BMCB 659.
