The second elective that really stood out to me was (NR 435) Contemporary Conservation Issues. I took this course first semester freshman year to progress my knowledge on conservation and the physical and natural environment. Throughout this elective course, I learned about many environmental and social conflicts almost similar to issues discussed in SUST 401. I think this is really where I decided that I wanted to pursue some sort of degree or minor connected to environmental science, conservation, or sustainability. Although I had learned a lot of things that I had previous knowledge on, I found starting out with this freshman year re-jogged my memory and was a great refresher for the rest of my electives.
