Sustainability Perspectives and Methods was important for diving deeper into sustainability. The course gave real life examples on how to approach difficult issues. We were able to tour Wagon Hill Farm and see how a team was able to and create a plan to preserve and restore the salt marsh. We learned the important of interdisciplinary work, collaboration and stakeholders when tackling issues within sustainability. Besides Wagon Hill we did a tour of the sea cost and saw other forms of interdisciplinary work, and collaboration that focus on areas effected by sea level rising.
SUST 501 gave me a deeper understand of sustainability. The class taught me the importance of using my skill set to benefit a project while still supporting and understanding those who come from different backgrounds. The class has benefited me with in sustainability and with in my own major.
