Autumn Houle

Hello! My name is Autumn Houle. I use she/her/hers pronouns. I am from Candia, New Hampshire. I am currently a second semester junior at the University of New Hampshire earning a Bachelor of Arts in both Sustainability and Women's and Gender Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. This semester, I am one of two Teaching Assistants for both Surveying Sustainability and Sustainability Perspectives and Methods. In addition to being a Teaching Assistant, I have also been an Eating Concerns Mentor, Orientation Leader, and Resident Attendant. In my free time, I enjoy going on hikes and nature walks, meditating, practicing yoga, reading, spending time with my cats and dogs, and swimming, to name a few things!

I am most passionate about the people/social equity pillar of sustainability. Ultimately, I believe that climate change is a matter of social justice. It is already affecting the most vulnerable among us. After graduation in May of 2022, I am most interested in community organizing and policy!
