Grady Dole

Hello, my name is Grady Dole, I am graduating with a dual major degree in Sustainability and Community Environmental Planning, with a minor in Green Real Estate. I am from Norwell, Massachusetts, a town that is located on the South Shore about 30 minutes south of Boston. I will be graduating this May, 2021. Some activities I enjoy in my freetime are: walking the family dogs, playing disc golf, and being outdoors hiking, hammocking, and skiing.

When I was younger I was always out and about exploring my town, my home is in a coastal community with rivers running all through our town. Being close to the ocean and rivers growing up established my love for the coast and propelled my drive for sustainability.

Upon coming to UNH, I was unsure of what I wanted to do, I knew that I wanted to be working outside and with communities towards improving environmental and social health. As a first step towards this effort, I chose the Community and Environmental Planning major to learn more about communities. I loved it so much that I ended up dualing the major with Sustainability! Knowing that my two interests/ topics would collide and work interchangeably together, I am very excited to see what the future holds!
